Be Confident In Who You Are

Ladies of MatchPointWomen…Ladies of SOARnetworks…we have a new lesson today! icon smile Be Confident In Who You Are

Confidence!

It’s funny how 1 ten letter word can make all the difference. Yet…it does! Everyone is striving for it, but few actually succeed in manifesting it in their spirit.

At my day job, people consider me incredibly confident and capable of handling complex problems. Truth is…I don’t have any idea of what I’m doing most days. It’s not that I’m illiterate or uneducated. For the most part, I have a pretty good idea of what is going on, but I’m in a business built around uncertainty, and the difference between sinking and swimming is that small ten letter word.

This can be applied to all of you that are building your ladies that are building your home based businesses. Confidence sells. If you are a blogger, readers may not necessarily be seeing your confidence through your words, but being confident is part of what keeps you building your business every day. I imagine that some days you want to stop blogging or finding leads or generating traffic. Some days you may feel like you are failing, but you pick yourself up and dust yourself off and move forward.

Do this with your businesses! When you are down…keep moving forward. You ladies got this…now go build your businesses.

The Coral Fashion Trend

Posted by on Apr 1, 2013 in Blog, The Fashionable Woman | Comments Off

Spring 2013 is finally here! Isn’t it fantastic? Eric would tell you that I’m a wee bit grumpy during the winter. I’m not into all the cold weather. Bleh…

Let’s talk all things spring from now on! We can start with one of the color trends you will be seeing this springtime…coral. It’s not orange, it’s not pink. It’s the perfect combination of both.

Since trends come and go, I typically try to add little things here and there to my wardrobe. I’ve found it to be really friendly on my pocket book. Instead of getting the $500 Coral Burberry jacket, I’ll get the $50 coral chandelier earrings. Then I don’t feel so bad when the fall comes and my earrings are out of style. You shouldn’t have to spend a lot of money to look like a celebrity. icon smile The Coral Fashion Trend

Women Who Succeed In Home Based Businesses

Posted by on Mar 29, 2013 in Blog, The Business Woman | Comments Off

Hey ladies!

I hope you are all having a fantastic week! I know I am! icon smile Women Who Succeed In Home Based Businesses

As most of you know, I do a lot of mentoring to women that have online businesses. I love the idea of building women up to lead and succeed in a primarily male dominant industry. The internet marketing world is pretty technical, but it’s not impossible to grasp. I try to make it easier by providing examples and support, and so far the women I mentor are succeeding and growing like crazy. Which is fantastic!

That said, I have a few ladies that aren’t doing so hot, and it’s not because they are incapable of learning it’s that they don’t want to. So this post is for them!

If you are running a home based business for women or you are a woman trying to grasp the internet marketing world, you need to be a go-getter. You need to know how to set smart and reasonable goals. You need to know WHAT you want out of your business and WHAT you are willing to put in to get that. I can tell you if you aren’t willing to put in the time, then you need to find another profession. That may sound harsh, but it’s true.

You need to ask questions, but more than that you need to ask the RIGHT questions. Most online MLM‘s for women have some kind of training provided for their team, so make sure you take advantage of that. More than likely you will find that the answers to your questions can be found within those materials. So use them. Read them. Watch them. Learn them. Show the initiative to be a home based business owner because eventually you may need to lead a team and you will want them to have initiative.

At SOARnetworks I work with a phenomenal group of ladies, and every week they are trying to meet their goals and teach others. I’m so impressed with the intelligence and initiative they have all shown. Some days I think they may be doing better than the boys! icon smile Women Who Succeed In Home Based Businesses The key to their success has really been their ability to work through the training and ask their mentor, me, the right questions. So if you are finding that you aren’t getting the most out of your MLM or your home based business, try to look at what you are putting in to it. Are you really giving it your all or are you sitting on the sidelines waiting for it to happen for you? I hope it’s not the latter.

I like a little pizazz in my wardrobe. I don’t like to go over the top, just like to add a few things here and there that make me stand out a little. It’s so much more fun than playing in the lines.

Mix a little purple spiked bracelet with a Rose Gold watch and I’m golden…literally!

Get Rid Of The Clutter

Posted by on Nov 15, 2012 in Blog, The Business Woman | Comments Off

In life, we often hold on to too much stuff. We are all guilty of it. For instance, those pants you could wear when you were 18, but at 38 you are in no way shape or form fitting your butt back into them. Those should probably go. Take them to Goodwill and help someone who can actually get into them.

We also hold on to emotional clutter. You know the stuff I’m talking about. The boyfriend that dumped you without any warning. The friend who decided to tell all your secrets to the world. The family you always wished you had but weren’t fortunate enough to get. It’s time to let it all go.

All of this clutter blocks the life you can have from the life you do. If you really want to be an entrepreneur or get your home based business off the ground, you have to start first with your mind. You have to start with you! No one else can do this part. Go get to it.

Free up your mind for the boyfriend that will turn into the husband you always dreamed of, the friend that will throw you the best baby shower in the world, and the family that may not be perfect but will be by your side till the end. Once you do all of that, your mind will be free to focus on the here and now, and you will be able to build the business you want. Just trust me on this, and you will see success in your business and your personal life. It’s what I like to call a win-win.

Now go free yourself!!!

Business Ladies Of MatchPointWomen

I know it’s been awhile since I blogged anything about business, but I’ve been working so hard getting the other side of my business going that I forgot to check in here to see how all of you guys were. Which brings us to today’s lesson/blog…how to keep track of your life while building a business.

I don’t know how many of you women are having the same kind of problems that I’ve been having building my home based business, but I find that I never have enough time in the day. Between my physical job, commuting back and forth from the annoying physical job, keeping the apartment clean, cooking meals, volunteering at church, running errands, and building up my own business, I’m out of time.

I think it’s really easy for us to overexert ourselves, and while doing so we lose sight of our goals. The purpose of creating our own business is so that we have time to enjoy our lives and interests, but if we can’t remember what those interests are during the process we will never get to the end result.

Here’s my solution…just breathe. Make sure to take a little time each day to focus on something you want. It could be reading a few chapters of a book, watching Grey’s Anatomy, or talking to your spouse about vacation plans. It doesn’t matter what it is, it matters that you do it. You can’t get to point B if you don’t remember what lies there. So calm down and you will find that while doing so you can be more rested and energetic and fully able to focus on building your business.

Again ladies, I’m sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I forgot to breathe. icon smile Business Ladies Of MatchPointWomen

Buy Shoes Online…Skip The Malls

Posted by on Sep 20, 2012 in Blog, The Fashionable Woman | Comments Off

As you know, this is a fashion blog. Duh! I think it’s important for the ladies of the world to have an online source for outfit ideas, partly because we are always on the go. I’m also a pretty big fan of the online shopping deals. Have you noticed? I find that it helps considering I buy shoes fairly often.

Purchasing shoes from online retailers provides you with more resources than you will ever get in your neighborhood shopping mall. I live in Los Angeles, I have pretty much every store known to man available to me, but I can still find more deals and options shopping online. Not to mention, I can’t go shopping in my pajamas or while eating my dinner and watching a movie. I don’t like the gimmicky sales people that follow me around the store asking me if I need help every 5 seconds. “No…I do not need help. I’ve not moved 2 feet since you asked me last.”

So who are my go to sources for buying shoes online? Clearly Amazon. I buy shoes from there all the time. I’m sure it seems weird to most of you, but there aren’t a lot of items that I can’t get off of Amazon. If I spend over $25 then shipping is free, sometimes they offer $20 off any shoes or handbags which is just a bonus. I also really like there “if you like this shoe, you may like these other 30 shoes”. Then of course I share those other 30 shoes with you guys. I’m also a big fan of Endless, although they can be pricey. Express and American Eagle do some AWESOME online sales throughout the year. My favorite is the free shipping and 40% off clearance. I go rack up on some shoes.
I’m also a big fan of the new designers that are making a splash on the internet. You know…the ones that don’t have the big deals with Barneys or Nordstrom. You can find them at smaller online shoe retailers.

So why are shoes less expensive online? How do you get such a good deal? Simple, you eliminate a lot of the expenses associated with a brick and mortar store. You don’t have to worry about sales people or leases. Retailers can create a huge distribution center for about the same cost as 5 stand alone stores.

Moral of the story, go shopping at the mall for fun and entertainment with the girls, but hit up the great online shoe sales when you get a chance. They are going to get you the best bang for your buck every time.

Oh and checkout Hautelook.com…It’s pretty amazing!
